We work closely with local partners and active integrate regional offerings into the guest experience. We promote regional supply chains, increasing our use of certified products and ensuring transparency regarding the origin of our food.
As a hotel in the centre of Bern, we see ourselves as part of the regional community and take on responsibility accordingly. We promote regional supply chains and work with local partners. We also inform our guests about nature, culture and leisure activities in the region and specifically integrate these into the guest experience. In this way, we help to boost regional tourism and the sustainable development of the destination.
Sustainability is a central part of our culinary offering. We place great importance on sourcing regional and seasonal produce from the Bern region and Switzerland, and actively support local producers. Short supply chains help to reduce environmental impact whilst supporting the regional economy. We place particular importance on food waste management. Through regular training, we raise our staff’s awareness of how to handle food and establish clear processes for preventing and reusing surplus food.
In our procurement, we are increasingly focusing on certified products, such as those from Fairtrade programmes, and we continuously review our range for sustainable alternatives. Transparency towards our guests is particularly important to us: the origin of our products is clearly communicated and sustainable options are actively highlighted.
